So many poems
and stories
have gone unwritten
due to fear of not being good enough
Give me warmth in a close and quiet port with a song unwritten
So when the wind unveils her pride I will not know
I will dive headfirst into uncharted waters
Write the words to the song
With my harp of gold

Send me a reason to leave my warm and quiet port with you
So when the wind unveils her pride I will stay warm
We will dive headfirst into uncharted waters
With a new song unwritten
In both our arms

Promise me I will not long for the song unwritten I wrote alone
When I leave my warm and quiet port to write for you
Then I will dive headfirst into uncharted waters
Write the words to a new unwritten song
You can sing too

Our song will hold a thousand nights of memories of bliss
To keep us warm when the wind unveils her pride
We will sing each word together in harmony
While we dive headfirst into waters
With our warmth inside

We talked about fun
A night of one and one
Two adults out dating
Not a lady-in-waiting.
Two people holding hands,
We didn’t have any plans
Not saying words like never
And always and forever.

It’s an unwritten verbal contract
With just the one signature.
The expectancy of longevity
Is more than a bit premature.
It is important to recognize it
When it’s all about fun and games.
It keeps temperature from rising
And avoids the calling of names.

Then it all got turned around
And quite suddenly I found
There were rules for me to obey
Like staying out too late in the day
And things I had to do with you
If I wanted to demonstrate I was true.
It was no longer important to you
It was not enough just loving you.

It’s an unwritten verbal contract
With just the one signature.
The expectancy of longevity
Is more than a bit premature.

I am a prisoner in your heart
When did my sentence start?
How long will I have to serve?
How did you get the nerve
To change a delightful love affair
Into something that would scare?
Sorry, I have to call a halt
You know it’s all your fault.

It is important to recognize it
When it’s all about fun and games.
It keeps temperature from rising
And avoids the calling of names.

We only had a few short dates
We barely made it to third base
And yet the thing is totally shattered.
You’re out looking at china patterns.
There were no promises ever made.
I do not mean to be throwing shade
But this is not the thing I agreed upon
Whatever we once had is now gone.

It’s an unwritten verbal contract
With just the one signature.
The expectancy of longevity
Is more than a bit premature.
It is important to recognize it
When it’s all about fun and games.
It keeps temperature from rising
And avoids the calling of names.

there's a poem I have written
that probably makes no sense
to anybody whom would read

it's simply the names of every
person who has made a change
of great influence in my lifetime

most people probably wouldn't
understand it at all, thinking that
it was just a list of random names

but it's the most precious poem I have
//On friends//
There's many people on here who are in this poem. I hope I have shown you that you mean so much to me, even if we haven't met.

I love you all. <3

We always know where our towels are so we can help each other out
‘Cause we protect each other without ever a doubt

Even when one swears the other has puddin’ in their head
We still trust each other, both with guiding and being led

Whenever you have a Hat-and-or-Wig Party, I’ll be there
Because while three’s company, us two is a constant pair

I’ll be the first to reward you with five minutes of uninterrupted eye contact
Because always supporting each other is our unwritten contract

I’ll sit and watch a movie with you, even if it’s Sweded
Because just hanging out with you is all that is needed

Even if all we did in a day was roll in ze hay
I know that we would still have fun anyway

Whether anyone says we were brought together by fate, destiny… or a horse
All that matters is that we are forever family on the same course

Even if there’s no meteoroid, severe loss of blood or death,
We’re there to help each other ‘til our last breath

We read one another’s thoughts and understand code words like oi
Which means we ‘get’ each other more than any girl or boy

I hope we both have enough shoes to last us a lifetime
So we have all the time we need to quote movies and rhyme

I’ll only ask you to hold my sweet potato pie; you’ll never have to wear it
We are always each other’s partner and we’ll never have to split

I would cross The Wall anytime if it could help somehow
Because I would do anything for you that possibility could allow

If you were eating junk and watching *******, I wouldn’t come out and pound you
I would sit down and join you, and just claim I had the flu

I think of you in colours that don't exist --
that's not to say that I don't think of you at all,
because, of course, technically every colour exists:
Even the ones we cannot imagine,
Even the ones we cannot see.
Even the ones either side of the spectrum that light up the notes used for money, not music, because the notes used for money
   are
      not
         always
            real.
Even the ones either side of the spectrum that light up the heat of your body like your presence does the room
and your eyes do my smile
           and your smile does my eyes;
You tell me that technically every colour exits,
even if we cannot see it,
even if we cannot imagine it –

For think of it now.
Imagine in your head a colour that does not exist.
                    Now describe it to me.
Is it a splash of red with tints of a yellowy-blue?
Is it a pinky-purple hue,
a hint of green, turquoise, maroon, sapphire, olive, violet?
Does it already exist in colours we already have names for,
have we lived so long that every thought we think is no longer our own,
every thought we think has been thought of before,
I think of you in colours that don’t exist
   but so has everyone else.

We cannot see it,
      we cannot imagine it.
But if we cannot imagine something that does not exist
simply because we are confined to describing it
in the words of an already existent language,
what does that say about us?
We can imagine a waterfall of chocolate,
       a glass elevator bursting through the roof;
shrinking potions and growing potions and talking rabbits.
We can imagine standing on the top of a building
looking out over the greying city lights
            with lungs full of water
            a noose round our necks
and the sole belief in our heads that we are jumping to fly
We can rewrite the future and make up the past
We can imagine wizards and witches and fairies and goblins
We have unicorns, ******* it,
     we have God.

And yet when I present to you a lover,
   an artist,
standing in front of you now,
yearning to make you his canvas,
You are too scared to fall in love,
too scared to admit that you don’t have the words in your encapsulating little language to describe the things that you feel towards him.
For he does not need language,
   he does not need words.
He will stand here now,
   in front of you,
and let you grace his collarbones with a diamond noose,
crown his withered corpse in a wreath of daisies,
dress his bones in slashes of rubies.
He will tear himself apart for you,
     for you,
for you to watch galaxies flow out of his veins,
velvet red blood screaming unwritten poetry,
a torrent of unimagined colours pouring into him and out of him
and with his one last remaining breath
              and a trembling hand,
he picks up his paintbrush
      and draws you into orbit,
and like his fingers used to trace your shattered ribcage
like the keys of an ivory piano,
he traces the outline of your lips.
And at last you draw breath,
to whisper his name, to whisper your love, and all that remains
   is silence.
And you choke on the air and sound is still
for all words exist so none can be spoken and suddenly everything
   is black.
And I think of you in colours that don’t exist
like the wolf howls in lament of the side of the moon he will never see
for all colours exist, and when I think of you,
there are none.

The future lies before me unwritten
Blank pages begging to be stained with ink
Ink only spills through action, not thinking
The future is unknown, fear springs unbidden
Words choke, action stalls, I’m unforgiven
Dreams plague me then vanish in a blink
The future lies before me unwritten
Blank pages begging to be stained with ink
Daring to take risks, words flow, now written
My tale stains the pages in vivid ink
Life thrives, dreams come true and now I’m smitten
The future lies before me unwritten
Blank pages begging to be stained with ink

So much it wants to say,
so much it wants to speak.
My inflexible tongue,
useless and weak.
like blank pages
it ***** and flutters.
as if so much
it wants to utter.
It invites me to
explore and scroll.
I need a pen for
my unwritten soul.
i so wish these poems weren't such afterthoughts,
words either labored, squeezed off a pained heart,
or a strong gush of stupid happy emotion as in farts?
neither pretty codified sonnets with essence in parts,
nor crisp, concise haiku's focused like targeted darts,
not the sophistried zen, oft hacked philosophic verses,
and the petty patterned words unmovingly affecting,
i despair for us to read a poem from brains turmoiled,
confused,unwritten words,unexpressed feelings,in divine madness!!
dance the unknown poem if a poem, to music uncomposed if music,
why cant we live them **** poems! so we dont have to **** write them!!

-every fellow being is a poem unwritten I feel, lets live them? Can we?-
