A Weird Animal Week

One day I was in the park,
I saw something – maybe a lark,
But it moved so quick and snappy,
In an instant, I knew what it was – an Okapi.

The next day I was swimming with a splash and swish,
And I saw a red-lipped batfish,
I got my camera and shot a picture,
And then I caught it like a fisher.

The next day I was on the beach,
The sun was like the inside of a peach,
Blending into the sand I saw something odd,
It was a giant yellow isopod,
Clattering around in the broad daylight,
It was almost as big as a kite.

The next day I was wandering in a field,
It was ruined like a battlefield,
Then two horns were sticking out of the grass,
I stood still and let it pass,
I moved carefully as if on a tightrope,
Then I knew it was the Saiga Antelope.

The next day I was deep-sea diving,
In the water, we were striving,
‘One more weird animal’ I wish,
Then I saw a blue parrotfish,
It was such a deep blue,
It was soft and full goo.

Well, that was the best week of my life,
Discovering every cool bit of wildlife.
I was working on this for quite a long time. I was trying to do a bit of an imaginative concept.
