We sit across each-other in our favorite bar,
discussing if the glass is half empty or half full.
But darling, we seem to not be able to realize,
that the empty ones are we,
trying to fill the void with whiskey and coke.
We pour sparkling wine into our hearts,
just so we can pretend we are not broken.
We sip until our head starts spinning,
giving us courage to finally go home.
The cab driver turns up the music,
so he won’t hear us kissing on the backseat.
But our thoughts are even louder.
We press our naked bodies against cold mirrors,
because it is the only way we can give each-other goosebumps.
Exhaling sharply we melt down on the hard ground.
We hug so tight, our bodies form the most komplex knot while we cry our pain out.

When first-rain drenches the trees,
Mango trees full of blooms whine,
Rains wash down the pain!

In the linoleum dungeon
Sparkling swiffer creature
Squirts the floor
Calls polyphemic odors
Opening

And the crazy stench of allspice
Biting lime and draconian breath
Burning the nostril coins
Copper shield bending the cilia
Oven mitts plastered with narcotic grease and decomposing meals
Of yesteryear
Unclear
She speaks between steaming inspirations

Hoo-huh

Exhale the fire

It's'a hotta pasta lasagna
As the helicopters flap their handy rotories
Fast fractal birds
In circumfereferential motion
Cool down our mouths
Ice cubes in the juice
Plop a shot of gin
With that silly child's grin

And the room slowly cants
Begins to spin
As we laugh at the spots we cannot
Pin

Staring at the stellar mountain chains
Thrusted stone
Busted metal
Stabbing up into the sky
Competition

Where is the home beyond the horizon
Where we ate good meals
Not made alone
With parental guidance
As the days were stolen
By the erosive time
That spinning wheel

Well,

It's deep in us now
And the cells metastasized
Realized
That heaven is hell.

because true love is no where for someone like me.

Should I ask this question on the test?
Is it something they should know?
Will omitting it affect their lives?
My Merlot tells me no! (he never lies)

They might not ever need this, sigh…
Might be a waste of time,
It might be just as pointless
As nonalcoholic wine.  ( heaven forbid!)

I guess I must get to it now
It’s almost 1 am
I’ll pour another glass of wine
Oh ****! Where is my pen?
same poem about taking a test from the teacher's point of view.  enjoy!
Will this be on the test?
Is it what I need to know?
Will not knowing it affect my grade?
Where does the heading go?

I’ll never use this, ever! grrr…
It’s such a waste of time!
It just that it’s so pointless
Like nonalcoholic wine! eek!

I’d rather clean the toilet…
I’d rather eat a worm!
Than study all this foolishness
But I have to pass this term!
all about studying for a chemistry test(I used to teach chemistry), from the student's point of view.  I'm posting the same scenario from the teacher's point in my next submission.  hope you can relate and enjoy.

It was cold and i was full of sweat.
It must've been around 3am and i could tell ; the sky was dark,no stars around, only a shy silverish moon hiding behind the dense clouds..
My heart was racing,my blood was boiling,a poisonous, shivering chill all over me..

It was dream,was it not?

Ah;It was a pair of dark, brown eyes which were made only to stare at me.
A a pair of thin, pale lips which were made only to smile at me.
And everynight i would whine. And everyday i would rue.

My soul locked to his soul and my eyes set on his eyes.
For that was the loudest silence he could ever give to me,and only me.

Did you know that dogs
In their natural state
Never bark?
That we gave their sprogs
Such an acquired trait
For a lark?

They would whine and growl
If they were left alone
To be free,
A dog will even howl
But won't bark on its own
Naturally.
Apparently dogs don't usually bark. One of the little-known and wonderful facts I acquired whilst skimming through Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase & Fable. I'm starting to wonder if everything I learned in nursery school was a lie now...
O my Lord, help me move beyond
this downward expression of:
confused, constant complaining;
where’s the reflection of Love?

Is my simple Christianity like:
Stale bread with a harden crust?
Is my sad, suffering condition
a spiritually dry, wheat rust?

Lord, let me be broken for You,
so Your bright Light in me shines;
in service, let me be poured out
like sweet, sacramental wine.

The dryness of my worn Faith
has become worthless rubble.
No one wants “bread of affliction”
as a prompt for past troubles.

The bitterness of sour grapes
is never a healthy sign;
help get me off this crash diet-
of this broken bread and whine.

Lord, let me be broken for You,
so Your bright Light in me shines;
in service, let me be poured out
like sweet, sacramental wine.

Will people stop offering
me their cheeses for my whine?
Please break the endless cycle of
this spiritual decline.

Stop people from offering
me their cheeses for my whine.
Please break the endless cycle now,
before I run out of time.
