To focus on what self importance brings
That final blink will flick to nothing
At best a whim
Too late as time has slipped
It's skin has shed
Where youth has fled
The cycle of light and dark
A heavy step leaves a beaten path
What has been learnt and can be shared
Fairer heart
Friendship bare
Cleaner air
To offer greater care

As the morning light seeped
Amongst the sky
The Moon fled
Until it faded below the horizon
Risking his life for the Sun.

When the Sun arose
She painted the atmosphere
Layering it with
reds, oranges, pinks, purples
To give her praise
For her love
That he would return another day.
When they both
could breathe.

When I would visit Ohio, my grandma always said
certain things in Spanish, as to not flood my head.

I wish I understood that secret life she led
by interpreting her knowledge, I know to have been well read,

But now my striving hunger will never be quite fed,
for now those precious, foreign words are unforgivingly dead.

Oh, how I cry very often, at night while I’m in bed.
Regrets like these don’t go away, so I try to cope instead.

I’ll never forget her loving Spanish ***** (that memory’s never fled),
even though my nostalgic heart regretfully succumbs to dread.

You had said you'd never change
Yet you just pushed me away
From your very wide range
Did you, even once, think of me before the act
You knew I would be left shattered
Yet you choose to leave our only pact
When you were gone my heart had bled
I was broke till I learnt the true reason
I could never be your's to cherish and so you had fled
Everyone has to go, came the harsh reality live
I now knew the truth that
You are remembered only when you are no more alive
Don't you ever now try to come close
You would only be killed and wounded
Because I am just a threat that you now pose
i
a wee shaft of beam
across
a sea of chilly darkness:
dashing on, dashing long
a chain
of disturbing crispy waves.
a haunting pitch
of sirens, of winging gulls.
…then
a whistle in the dark

                    ii
i have bled.
and ever bleeding
is resurgence.
the stones are stained now
not all are stained yet.
but i can hold no more.
no more.

                    iii
to listen would have been enough
but spoke i
to deaf-mutes, clayey forms.
and every uttered little word
faded like receding undertone.
and then
conspiracy of silence,
misquotations,
sharing of once
too friendly shoulders.
a nod would have been enough,
or a pat,
or any like gesture;
they turned askance
and i fled… fled away.

                    iv
back to my chambered shell
back to my cradle
where there are many whispers.
and every fateful swing
of the pendulum
i reel and ride the wheel of fancy,
embrace false idols
like one fearful of his god
if only to escape the haunts
of conscience;
tremble at approaching footsteps,
shriek at every shadow.

                    v
i shall walk barefoot again
past leafless stumps
windborn, heated, and bowed,
‘cross an oasis grown desert dry,
past anthills now dunghills,
‘neath rapid flutter
of widespread murky wings,
past cliff edges
where resound pampered echoes,
while arched in deceitful hues
a rainbow.
…i scan the blue… i pause…

                   vi
i await a lily-white stork
or there shall be no curtain speech.

The flight with you was out of this world
I wouldn't want to live in again
The following information isn't relevent
But I think I owe you an explanation
Every second of every minute of every day was a mistake
I wouldn't accuse you for wasting my time
You made me want a wildlife
Free of charge ready for your collection
Except I wasn't ready to go yet or ready to leave yet
I will not ask you to wait and set me free
I will not ask you to stand by my side as my friend
I will not ask you to come find me
I'll look into the mirror and fade away
I'll ask you to forgive me and move on
Because I'm never gonna come back

I met a teeny bop
When I looked at him
his eyes went plop.
I am in love with you  he said
Haha I laughed "that's so sweet"
I ruffled his hair.
No I mean it he said.
I paused and smiled
Seriously, how old r you?

I am just a lad to you maybe
But your love will change me
I want to shower on u my love
Be a man for you no other can.

I froze, I have nothing to give, I said
I am running on empty.
I shied.
He pleaded, you only need but  try
Just once, open your heart to mine.

Then he took my love
And fled.....
Just something imaginary and silly I felt like writing :)

The words are all in your head
The words you always read
The words you never said
But you are dead
So the words fled
