Oh! 'Lei Wah'!
Absolve me!
Now I understand,
‘It is better to stay by!’
You are like a breeze
Your hair wave over like a brook!
‘It is better to stay by!’
Your eyes are drizzle from profundity
Your fingers spread over
in search of elixir of life!
‘It is better to stay by!’
Your smile blossom as contentment
and call diviner  to  shield  future!
So, 'it is better to stay by'!
Lei Wah is a Khasi word, meaning River Spirit. Khasi are the inhabitant of Meghalya state of India. There is a saying, in Khasi  -“U Khasi u im bad ka mariang, bad ka mariang ka im bad u”.( A Khasi lives with nature and nature lives with him)
