No more calls,
No more inside jokes,
Birthdays and holidays are celebrated;
But you won’t be there.
Holding hands,
Sneaking kisses in the hallways,
Being kids;
But that won’t happen again.
Racing our vehicles,
Shadow boxing with your grandpa,
Your playful tackles;
But these memories are in the past.
Walking down the isle,
Building a home,
Having the one kid dreamt of;
But you won’t be there.
We are the same age today. Yet you’re not here to celebrate with us.. I love you and always will. Never had my mind not wandered off to you.. happy birthday scrub..
