Would the Earthen Blanket it's Roots sustain
Saw this Morning take Courage with your Blaze
That Once-Living Oil; Now Lightened remain
The Enduring Driver his Token embrace
Fourty-Two Candles await your Life's Breath
Since the Sexton found your Tomb un-covered
Then looked askance where - the Ivory-Cloth
Robbed from Memory his Eyes discovered
And searched indeed be his awesome Reply
Tracking the Stone for his Answers apart
Till entered the Door by Permits subside
And found his Blessed Dust encased in your Heart.
The Sexton drew Breath; That same Grade as you:
"SET HIS LION FREE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADIEU!"
