O’ Sweet Love, am I to keep on my regret,
Upon these days when I let thou’st go,
Yet, thy beloved face haunts me to forget,
All the memories that only we know.
My adored little Lynx, why can’t you see,
That my heart is the same as your’s too,
For it has always been what it should be,
And that is—to love and be loved by you.
