It has been a while since I ve inked,
Been a while since my heart gave in,
Been a while since i was inspired,
Been a while since i boxed in,
Life is fast,
So eventful,
Time speeds,
Exhausting one's soul,
Yet here I am,
After a sabbatical,
Taking a pause,
Calming life's run,
Crafting my poem,
After a while,
Oh how much a missed this!
I finally feel so alive!

I raise my voice,
I say it out loud,
I speak for myself,
But they close my mouth,
Beware they say,
Be safe,
from whom I ask,
"Men" they say,
I stare at them,
I cannot fathom,
This fear is ridiculous,
Demeaning my existence,
women claim power,
Displaying weakness,
Men are only but humans,
Outspoken and strong,
But so are you in everyway,
Then why women do you not talk?!

"A journey of life,
A journey unknown,
A journey so exciting,
A journey untold,
A journey of discovery,
A journey of adventure,
A journey to experience,
A journey to remember!"

I used to be an epitome of emotion.
I would burst in technicolor fireworks,
Louder than the night will ever be.
A mood ring would be like a spectrum,
Instead of one color, a wild rainbow.

Grenades would be no match to how I'd explode.
More than just friendly fire,
I was a war within a body.

A vast expanse of unpredictable tides of
All the mental states you could ever imagine,
Not merely just meeting,
But crashing forcefully against the shore,
Pushing the sand away, but also bringing it closer, as it rolls back and forth
again and again.

But ever since you, my moon, left,
I am as dull as your hue of gray.
My ocean of feelings has gone still,
And has completely turned into drought.
Into nothing.

Yet why am I drowning?

"She smiled beautifully,
Her lips trembling,
Her heart pounded,
Several thoughts blooming in,
Her moment of pride,
The achievement she yearns,
Stands before her,
Awaiting for her turn,
She takes a step,
Very slowly,
Oblivious to treacherous comments,
holding her prize high,
Her eyes glowing with joy,
The voices don't matter,
The comments don't affect anymore,
She proves to herself,
And that is all that matters!"
