Waves grasp and grab and grind
Unstoppable power
Fueled with anger
The skies lower
Turning black
Bellowing cries strike the rock
Jagged shore spilts the sea
The waters churn and swipe
Before the cry of the wind
Sends the tide into fury
Rearing and kicking
Into the sky

Nevermind the shadow,
Cast upon the face of the young.

Seeds of hate,
Planted in their hearts.
By generations forged in tragedy.

They **** the world,
And **** themselves.

But nevermind.

Nevermind the lonely,
Who smile for the crowd of those,
That never smile back.

Who look to the mirror for answers.

And cry for what they cannot be;
Perfect.

They throw themselves from,
The bridges and windows,
Of our cites.

Just nevermind.

And Nevermind the pain,
Of a man who's seen everything.

Behind bars, tanks, cars.

The death of the guilty, the innocent,
and every man between.

A war fought years ago,
Haunts him to the grave.

Nevermind his hurt,
And the hurt he's seen if those,
Who have seen the hurt of others.

Just nevermind.

Lost in the crevices of a far off valley,
Beneath overgrown patches of beauty,
And worn among wilted memories.
Just beyond the trail of dust and ash,
Where our hearts would run beside us,
And our legs would never grow tired.
We would crouch and crawl and laugh,
As we snuck below the tangled canopy.
Telling secrets to the branches,
Letting our stories fill the soil,
And embed within their roots.
