I have given up
On yelling at the sky
The sky has probably given up on me too.

The answers must not be in the sky.
It seems I have been wrong for the entirety of my life.

It could be that the answers are on the ground.
Amongst the grass, simply suffocated by the dirt,
My answers insufferably whispered by the tiny creatures.

But I hate insects.
I don’t like dirt.
And grass makes me itch.
How I feel some nights.
the idiomatic expression "Say 'uncle'!" may be used as an imperative command to demand submission of one's opponent, such as during an informal wrestling match. Similarly, the exclamation "Uncle!" is an indication of submission – analogous to "I give up" – or it may be a cry for mercy, in such a game or match.
Way up in the stratosphere
You’ll find me floating here
Trying to find clarity
Through these brown eyes
Finally, see the sun
lighting up these crystal skies
For deep down in the depths
Of this subconscious mind
Lies dormant lines
Waiting to be brought to life
Like a newborn child
I feed and breathe in new life
they are tended to
Fragile and with care
I watch them grow
as they mature into a complexity
So neatly and gently
These thoughts spill upon the page
Welcome to my dynamic wordplay.

He was broken.
But in the most beautifully tragic way,
Like a shattered piece of fine China,
Or a metronome that ticked without time.
He carried on in his controlled, chaotic manner.
Several attempts made to correct himself,
Glue himself back together,
Or put himself back in sync.
Only half repairing what used to be.
Still of use -
But not quite practical,
Not quite up to par.
A nudge and he would fall out of rhythm.
A bump and a few pieces would come loose.
Yet he always tried so very hard
To hide the imperfection of himself,
To paint himself dazzling, distracting colors,
To play the music too loud to hear the mismatched ticking.
Make merry and mask the fitful psyche underneath.

Chloe
on the street corner
waiting for a body to come along
'oh, jesus, oh, lord'
the man just wants a hug

throw a man a home
spare his dog a bone

cough of a smoker
chest with a wheeze
one sits in a resturant
while anothers begs on his knees
'please lord, oh please'

ignorance a bliss
public sphere bubble
'look man'
'i don't want no trouble'

'could i trouble you for a penny'
share one of your many
what's a woman begging for
judgement decides she is a *****

a million to one
help out the addict of a son
and i ask you sir
while you moan and groan in your animal fur
'are we all human, only divided by materials'
