Drying tears,
healing scars,
Dark circles beneath sunken eyes,
Chapped lips from
biting hard,
Nightmares and panic in
abundant form
trinkets,
Of my broken heart.
For all the times we were hurt, and broken.
to remember lost items
is to tempt yourself to find them again
- and to look at old pictures,
is to remind yourself of when...
of the times you hold dear
of the time you held fear

of the times you never
thought you would remember
but remember anyway

It wasn’t my intention
to collect your love
and place it on a shelf.

The dust makes you sneeze,
and I’m sorry, I’ve just
been busy.

It takes a lot
for me to climb my step stool
to break up

the cobwebs that
have settled on you
and Paul and Chris and Jake.
