If faith can buy anything,
What would be your purchase?
If faith can buy everything,
Would you still be trusting the LORD?

If favor is a commodity,
Can your money be enough?
Would you use all your resources
To get close to what you really want?

And if God always gives what your heart desires,
Would you see Him the way you see Him now?
Would you still seek Him if everything goes well?

And if you love the world too much,
You would never have valued what you have gained —
For what you gained in Christ is precious
That even money and power cannot buy.
A Simillacrum Sep 2018
Beside a full size bed,
full of destiny and dream,
a corpse dressed up
to fit among
the living, softly sleeps.

Carving sAl(i)vAtiOn in black
marker on the walls,
recounting upset memories,
I stick the landing.
I didn't plan to stay

In this depressive state,
but I'm fully equipped.
Adaptable to necessity,
without trying to fit.
I may be sad, reclusive,
virulent at my worst --

When will you
come to terms with this curse?
When will you learn
it's best
you be
who you
need?

When will you
fall in love with this curse?

When will you learn,
there's plenty room
for the misfit?
