Knowledge of human

nature: learning that people --

are not characters.
Column "De hulpeloosheid van het personage" ("The character's helplessness", Marjoleine de Vos in the NRC of February 26th, 2024) - Reality and fiction: do movies and novels teach us not only to understand people, but also to see them as characters?

It is just cardboard,

not a human, yet I can't --

take shooting lessons.

Enthralling people

are misunderstood, they are --

too enigmatic.

More and more colours join the flag
until the whole spectrum shines like a sun
a beacon
on the troubled journey

It's just a flag
nonviolent communication
in the wind
a silent look

The pole a magic wand
a seeress, beacon
of patience
made of the right stuff

Oak and elder, willow, fig and fir
the trees of Mother Earth
beech and birch, cedar, cypress
so many more than elm and ash

A healing staff
with a robe to wear
in the colours of our soul
all colours of light
Rainbow flag

Poem "Völuspá" ("Prophecy of the Sorceress/Seeress"):
The three forefathers of the divine Aesir (Breathing creatures/Asians), Odin, Vili and Ve, formed the female human from the elm tree/vine (embla) and the male human from the ash tree (asker)

Article 1 states, but who --

does obey the law?

I get paid and I buy

the bed I want to lie in

in the country of my choice

the country of the revolution, of freedom
....and equality where everyone has to leave
....who says or supports that different is better

the country without people
....who exclude members of the household and neighbours
....because of their origin, gender or love

the country without followers
....of heads of the family, gurus and
....men with a sacred book

the country of the paradox
....where freedom is the system
....without poor and rich people

the country without people
....who claim the status
....of having more than others

the country on the verge
....of ******* and inequality
....where no money is for pretended luck

the country of real answers
....to the questions of why
....where no one takes nonsense seriously
After: "With due respect" (2011-2012, Theo Maassen)

Certainly, I can recognize
your belly
with which nobody else is familiar

and if you had no arms
no legs and if possible
also no belly anymore

you would still be exactly you
even without hair and ears
still would have your faces

being enigmatically
and incomprehensibly
yourself, no matter how

I experience you
in admiration
with open senses

and in the curious amazement
of anyone who is taking notice
of you, then wishing to stay
