May 2014
I find myself spending hours in the shower
Cold, frigid, numb
My fingertips all wrinkled and soft
My heartbeat louder than a drum

I find myself staring at blank spaces
Tired, alone, resigned
My eyes bloodshot and red
Wishing I had been better than just fine

I find myself on rooftops
Angry, confused, shattered
My mind racing with thoughts and wine
Stars not unlike your eyes reminding me of my hurt
this is an old one, but it's honestly the most painful thing I've written
