My Space

It might sound crazy
But I need some space
It was bound to happen
But I’m drifting to a place
I call my special space
Where the world moves at my pace
All the grooves shape it just right
The clouds drape just low enough
To hide enough light
And my pen glides a cross this notebook
Like lightning
It’s been a while since I entered my space
The place I call my own
Where my emotions
Become a verbal potion
You could say I’m going through the motions
But my words paint a beautiful ocean
I’m the back ground
Like I said it might sound crazy
But around those parts
I’m where everything starts
My area to show my art
No one here to help me out so
I play Picasso
Oh so many works
Anything is possible
In fact in this space
I do the impossible
I’d give you a view
But the look on your face is skeptical
And clearly I need an intellectual

Hey wall flower
Let’s not tarnish the moment
I see you in fact I’m admonished by you
I meant to say I’m astonished
But back to it

Say it might be corny
But I chose all the wrong flowers before you
I tried roses
And was hurt more than once
Thorn by thorn
I tried a lotus
But I was mislead by its petals
Yet some how I know this
Life set us down paths for this encounter
Clearly we have a purpose
I propose we take our time as to figure it out
